Summary of Conclusion/Findings

The study explored the impact of a home-delivered produce prescription (PRx) program on families with young children at risk of food insecurity (FI) and diet-related chronic diseases. The study involved semi-structured interviews with caretakers who participated in a 12-month PRx program. The results demonstrated that produce delivery partially relieved financial stress, and lead to increased produce consumption. The intervention positively influenced families' nutrition and cooking-related knowledge and behaviors. There were familial and programmatic barriers that affected participation and engagement.
